Hey, I'm Araya!

My name is Araya Ossius (uh-ray-uh oh-see-iss). I'm from Arkansas and have lived here my entire life. I met my husband, Nelson, in the summer of 2018, and we got married in December of 2020! Getting married in the midst of a pandemic: do not recommend. But he is amazing and I am beyond thankful. We welcomed our first child, a baby girl, in August of 2023.

I am a 4th grade teacher, but I've had a passion for photography since I was a kid. I grew up in a super small town... dirt roads, summer adventures in the woods with my cousins, picking berries and honeysuckles, playing kickball and having performances on my Granny's front porch to see how many people we could get to wave and honk as they drove by. My love for photography started in this small town, and 212 was our house number. Hence, Two Twelve Photography. My daddy would always have a camera on him just about everywhere we went, and that camera yielded some great memories to look back on.

All that to say, I'm slightly obsessed with capturing moments because I have experienced how precious they are – moments frozen in time that document your life in all seasons.

I want to help you create those memories by giving you something tangible to hold on to. Something that generations after you will look at and talk about. Photos aren't just photos. They hold so so much.
